Dental implantation is the most advanced method for restoring lost teeth, in which not only the tooth crown but also the lost root is reconstructed. Implantation is most valued for the fact that missing teeth are restored without grinding down or otherwise damaging neighbouring teeth. Many years of experience by the dentists at Precize clinic have allowed us to select the highest-quality implants, which come with a lifetime guarantee. After the implantation procedure at our clinic, patients can enjoy a full, functional, long-lasting and beautifully aesthetic smile.
A dental implant is a titanium screw surgically inserted into the jawbone, perfectly biocompatible with the body’s tissues. This is what ensures the exceptionally high implant success rate (± 98 %) and their long service life, as the dental implant replicates the lost tooth root. After the healing period (2–6 months), an artificial tooth crown is attached, which is no different functionally or aesthetically from a natural tooth. Patients can therefore once again enjoy a beautifully aesthetic smile and comfort while chewing food.

Consultation. During the first visit, the teeth and bite are examined, and on the basis of a panoramic X-ray (no older than 6 months) the surrounding tissues and root condition are assessed. It is also determined whether additional procedures such as bone augmentation or sinus lift may be required. Finally, the patient’s expectations and possible treatment options are discussed, the best treatment plan matching the patient’s possibilities is selected, the necessary visits and their duration are scheduled, and the cost is calculated.
Implantation procedure. Under local anaesthesia, a small incision is made (in certain cases, at the surgeon’s discretion, it is not needed). A site for the implant is then prepared in the jawbone, where the implant is screwed in. Most often, a healing abutment (cap) is immediately placed on the artificial root, which is in place for 2–6 months until the implant has integrated and a permanent tooth can be attached to it. After implantation, the gum is sutured with a medical thread, which is recommended to be removed after 7 days.
The implantation procedure in total takes about 20–40 minutes. If additional interventions are needed, such as bone augmentation or sinus lift, the procedure may take longer. After implantation, you will receive a detailed memo on what to expect after the procedure, how to behave and how to care for the implant site. You will also receive a warranty passport for the implant.
Healing. The implant heals for 2–6 months (depending on bone density and the complexity of the implantation). Only then can the implant be loaded and a permanent artificial tooth attached. During the healing period a temporary tooth or denture plate can be placed to avoid being without teeth.
Although the procedure itself is painless, minimal pain, discomfort or swelling is possible in the first days after the procedure (depending on individual body characteristics and the complexity of the implantation). The memo received after the procedure describes in detail how to act in each case. If anything is unclear, you are always welcome to contact us.
Prosthetic restoration. Once the implant has integrated (after 2–6 months), an artificial tooth crown is finally attached to it, indistinguishable from natural teeth. After the prosthetic stage, you can enjoy full chewing function and aesthetics.
Care. Teeth on implants must be cared for even more carefully than your own teeth in order to achieve a long-lasting result. Teeth must be brushed at least twice a day. It is also very important to use interdental brushes to clean between the teeth (dental floss is not recommended around artificial structures). An oral irrigator is recommended as an additional interdental cleaning tool, but it must only be used after thorough cleaning with interdental brushes. In addition, it is very important to have professional oral hygiene done regularly, at least 1–2 times a year.

Do all implants integrate successfully?
The implant success rate is 98 %. In very rare cases an implant may fail to integrate due to a weaker immune system, systemic illness, heavy smoking or poor oral care.
How long does an implant take to heal?
Depending on bone density and the complexity of the surgery, an implant heals in 2–6 months.
Which implant should I choose?
The implanting dentist, after assessing the patient’s oral condition and existing defects, will individually advise which implant to choose.
What is immediate implantation?
During immediate implantation, an unsuitable tooth root is removed and the implant is placed straight away. This saves time, as you do not need to wait 4–6 months for the bone to recover after tooth extraction.
How much does dental implantation cost?
The cost of the procedure depends on the chosen implant and on whether additional interventions are needed (bone augmentation or sinus lift). The exact price is given during the consultation, after individually assessing each situation.
