Dental prosthetics is the restoration of severely damaged tooth crowns or completely lost teeth and tooth row defects using artificial structures.
Dentists warn that it is very important to restore a tooth as soon as possible after it is lost. Even more important is to prosthetically restore severely damaged natural teeth in time to prevent tooth loss.
Our clinic’s aim is to select the best individual prosthetic method for each patient, taking into account their financial possibilities, and to perform the work to the highest quality.
At Precize clinic, prosthetic restoration is performed by dentist Dr Gintarė Žmuidinavičienė, who has specialised since 2014 in restoring tooth and tooth-row defects with fillings and prosthetics on natural teeth and dental implants, as well as in the aesthetic field. The highest-quality materials and magnifying loupes are used in treatment, and we collaborate with the best dental technicians in Lithuania. All of this means that after just a few visits patients can enjoy not only a full, functional smile, but also one that is beautifully aesthetic, natural-looking and precise.
Fixed prostheses.
Chewing function is fully restored — this is a strong, comfortable, aesthetic and natural-looking prosthetic option.
Removable prostheses.
A less comfortable option providing only around 30 % of chewing efficiency, less durable, an economical prosthetic method.
Single crowns/onlays/veneers on natural teeth.
Chosen when the tooth crown is severely damaged but the natural tooth root remains very strong. This way the weak tooth crown is reinforced, the chewing load is transferred evenly to the root, and possible tooth fracture in the future is avoided.
Single crowns on implants.
The most advanced method of tooth restoration in modern dentistry when an entire tooth has been lost. An implant is first placed, replicating the tooth root, and later, once the implant has integrated, a crown is attached on top of it, replicating the tooth crown.
Bridges or larger structures (tooth restoration on 4, 6 or 8 implants).
Chosen when three or more adjacent teeth, or all teeth in a jaw, have been lost.
Bridges on natural teeth.
Since the arrival of implants, this is a rarely used method of tooth restoration, as it damages/grinds down and additionally overloads adjacent healthy teeth.
Which prosthesis should I choose?
During the consultation with the prosthodontist, the patient’s expectations and all possible prosthetic structures and treatment methods are discussed. Taking into account the patient’s individual clinical and financial situation, the most suitable prosthetic method is selected.
What prosthetic methods are used at Precize clinic?
At Precize clinic, all of the prosthetic methods described above are used.
How should prosthetic teeth be cared for?
Prosthetic teeth should be brushed with a regular toothbrush like your own teeth. Use interdental brushes for the spaces between the teeth and avoid dental floss.
Can I eat right after the prosthetic procedure?
After cementation of a crown/onlay or veneer, it is recommended to wait 30 minutes for the cement to harden. After prosthetics on an implant, you can eat right away.
How much do dental prostheses cost?
We discuss the prices during the first consultation, taking into account the chosen treatment plan and prosthesis design.
